GROUNDED IN OUR CORE VALUES

The Montessori Method

We strive to meet and exceed the highest Montessori standards set forth by the American Montessori Society (AMS), through organized and individualized instruction, multi-age classrooms, and carefully prepared learning environments.

Diversity

Individuals are celebrated and appreciated for their unique qualities, perspectives, and backgrounds.

Joyful Learning

Curiosity and joy for learning are habits cultivated by A Children’s Habitat.

Peace Education

Kindness, empathy, and peaceful conflict resolution comprise and inform both our explicit and implicit curriculum.

Community

Inspired by a spirit of community and the power of collective talents, we focus efforts on building relationships and working with one another.

Stewardship

Just as we care for one another, we care for our broader social and natural worlds.

WE’RE ALWAYS UP TO SOMETHING AMAZING

It’s been a month since the last day of school and the bridging ceremony, a month to reflect on a beautiful school year filled with growth, development, and meaningful achievements.During the bridging ceremony, Habitat students cross the bridge once they have completed their program, with many completing a full three year cycle! This moment marks a significant milestone as one journey comes to a close and another begins. We celebrate all Habitat students for a wonderful academic school year accomplished! As summer unfolds, Summer Camp is now well underway on campus, and we can’t wait to share what’s been happening in our Habitat! ☀️🌼❣️Lots of love from our community 💓#montessori #schooldays
Continuing our end-of-year highlights. 🎒✨ A beloved Lower Elementary tradition: portfolio scrapbooking! ♥️From field trips and lesson work to journals and shared discoveries, Habitat 1st–3rd graders looked back on a year full of growth, curiosity, and connection. These portfolios tell a story far bigger than academics. They reflect friendships formed, independence strengthened, and the relationships that help children feel safe enough to explore, reflect and grow.In true Montessori fashion, this moment invites reflection, pride, and ownership of one’s learning journey ~ together.#montessori #elementaryschool #indy #montessorischool
As promised, here’s part of our end-of-year highlights!A glimpse of our Talent Show! ⭐️🎤✨Habitat students stepped up brave and confident, bringing their own ideas, personalities, and joy to the stage.Breakdancing, solos, magic tricks, and more lit up the room. We were inspired, entertained, and felt endless gratitude for their courage to shine on stage with us.
