DINOSAURS (FOR AGES 4 TO 10 YEARS)
June 3-7, 2019
Welcome all paleontologists and dinosaur lovers! We will identify, research, and excavate these Mesozoic animals. There will also be games and crafts to reinforce this fun topic.
COOKING (FOR AGES 4 TO 10 YEARS)
June 10-14, 2019
Get ready to explore foods from around the globe! Each day children will learn about a different region and its cuisine and prepare dishes to enjoy together. Children leave the week with their own recipe book to continue the kitchen fun and skills at home.
HARRY POTTER (FOR AGES 4 TO 10 YEARS)
June 17-21, 2019
All four houses are invited as we transform our OC into a Hogwarts distance learning school. During the week we will be conducting the following classes: Charms, Potions, Transfigurations, Herbology, and Care of Magical Creatures. (Unfortunately, no flying this week!)
BEES (FOR AGES 4 TO 10 YEARS)
July 8-12, 2019
Through education and "bee-friendly" activities, we can teach children about these important pollinators and the role bees play in our food supply. There will honey to taste and beeswax candles to make. We also plan to have a beekeeper visit us.
FABLES: STEAM (FOR AGES 4 TO 10 YEARS)
July 15-19, 2019
This is a week of cross-disciplinary learning. The basic model of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) education is to bridge subjects and problem solve. We will visit beloved stories and rhymes while adding both a creative and analytical spin.
Please direct all summer camp questions to Camp Coordinator, Liz Williams or to the ACH office.
